Beaches: Beaches on the Costa del Sol are maintained to a high standard. Free public showers are provided along all the beaches. There are also pedalos, sun beds, sun shades widely available.

Golf: There are over 40 golf courses on the Costa del Sol within easy reach and several very closeby:

* The Cabopino Golf Club features lakes that affect at least four holes and is only few mins driving.
* Miraflores - This legendary course is only a 5 min Drive away!
* La Cala, Mijas Golf and Club La Siesta are only 15 minutes away by car.

Shopping: There are 2 large shopping malls both 10 minute drives in opposite directions: Miramar in Fuengirola and La Cañada in Marbella both great malls with a variety of shops.

Costa del Sol Attractions: There are many popular places to visit.

Alhambra Palace (Granada) The city of Granada is impressive, with a wealth of history dating back to Roman times. It has a strong Arab influence with the building of the famous Alhambra Palace dating back to year 1238. It is only 2 hour drive from the apartment.

Ronda Ronda retains much of its historic charm, particularly its old town. It is famous worldwide for its dramatic escarpments and views, and for the deep El Tajo gorge that carries the Rio Guadalevín through its centre. 1 hour drive.

Puerto Banus The focal point of Puerto Banus is the marina. It has berths for 915 boats, including those of the King of Saudi Arabia and several of the world's wealthiest individuals. Behind the harbour lie streets filled with bars, boutiques and restaurants. 20 mins.

Mijas One of the jewels of the Costa del Sol is the beautiful little village of Mijas, which nestles comfortably in the mountainside at 428 meters above sea level, just wander through the narrow cobbled streets of this Andalucian white village, and you can understand why it has attracted many artists and writers whom have made it their home. 25 mins.

Marbella In the chic town of Marbella, hints of its former Moorish occupation mingle with modern-day resort amenities. Experience the Andalucian charm of the historic quarter, filled with white washed buildings, remnants of a ninth-century Arab fortress and fragrant trees in Orange Square. 15 mins.

Aquapark (Torremolinos) Is said to be the largest in Europe covering over 70,000 sq m of land.

Aquapark (Mijas Costa - near Fuengirola) Smaller but lots of fun, a great day out and it’s only a 10 minute drive from the apartment.

Aztec Country Club (Riviera del Sol) Sporting complex with Olympic size swimming pool, tennis and badminton courts, mini golf, a gymnasium and beauty/hair salon.

Benalmadena Marina (Benalmadena) Twice voted world's best Marina, see the beautiful boats and enjoy the beauty of the Marina. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants.

Cabopino Beach A lovely beach with lots of water sports.

Cable Cars (Benalmadena) Opposite Tivoli world - At the top you can get out of the cable cars and enjoy breath taking views.

Club del Sol (Calahonda) Tennis club with 12 tennis courts 7 clay and 5 plexi cushion.

Crocodile Park (Torremolinos) Europe’s only crocodile park with 200 crocodiles.

Dolphin Safari (Gibraltar) Touch a dolphin or view the underwater world in a special glass bottom boat.

Fuengirola Sunday market (Fuengirola) At the marina with bars and restaurants - Open 9am - 2pm in winter and 7pm - 2am in summer.

Fuengirola Zoo (Fuengirola) A great day out with lots of fun at the zoo!

Funny Beach (Marbella) Action and fun for the family, trampolines, mini motorbikes, jet-skies and more

Hipodromo del Costa del Sol (La Cala de Mijas) Night racing on Saturday nights in the summer and a venue for some pretty spectacular concerts drawing such big name stars as Elton John and Rod Stewart.

Prado World (Estepona) Theme park and water park, mini golf, football, shooting gallery, basketball, TV room and remote control lorries.

Sea Life Centre (Benalmadena) Lots of Mediterranean wildlife, sharks, rays, eels, puffer fish, octopus and lots more!

Selwo Park (Benalmadena) This is a Marina and Sea Life Centre which is wonderful for small children. They have lots of live shows with seals, dolphins and exotic birds.

Snake City (Benalmadena) Many types of snakes and reptiles a regular show allows visitors to participate and hold a selection of their occupants.

Tivoli World (Benalmadena) An Amusement park open until late at night with shows and a water park, a recent addition.
